Legoland Malaysia tips for families: tickets, hours and a two-day plan

We have hosted families heading to Legoland Malaysia from our Medini units since 2017. These are the things we tell every guest before they buy tickets, updated with this year's prices.

Ticket prices in 2026

Legoland Malaysia Resort has three paid parts: the Theme Park, the Water Park and the SEA LIFE aquarium. These are the starting prices on the official ticket page in October 2026. They are "from" prices, so a weekend or school holiday date usually costs more than a weekday.

TicketAdultChild / senior
1-Day Theme Parkfrom RM205from RM175
1-Day Water Parkfrom RM149from RM129
1-Day SEA LIFEfrom RM89from RM69
Double-Park (Theme Park + SEA LIFE)from RM285from RM225
Triple-Park (Theme Park + Water Park + SEA LIFE)from RM345from RM285

Children under 3 go in free on all of these. Malaysians with a MyKad can buy an Annual Pass for the same price as a day ticket, which is the obvious choice if you live in Johor or plan to come back within the year.

Some quick maths for two adults and two children aged 4 to 11. Theme Park only, from RM760. Triple-Park, from RM1,260. Buying the Theme Park, Water Park and SEA LIFE separately on the same starting prices would be RM1,632, so the Triple-Park saves about RM372 if you really will use all three.

Opening hours, and the days each park is shut

This is the part families get wrong most often. Legoland's three parks do not keep the same days. On the official calendar, read again on 23 October 2026, the Theme Park is closed every Wednesday from 7 October to 18 November, and the Water Park is closed every Tuesday from 13 October to 1 December. SEA LIFE opens every day.

Theme Park hours change with the month. This is the November 2026 pattern, from the same calendar.

DayTheme ParkLast entryWater Park

Tuesday10am to 6pm5pmClosed (3, 10, 17 and 24 November)

Saturday10am to 6pm (10am to 9pm on 7 November)5pm (7pm on 7 November)10am to 6pm
Sunday10am to 6pm5pm10am to 6pm

SEA LIFE runs 10am to 6pm on all seven days, with last entry at 5pm. The October late nights (Theme Park to 8pm on Thursday and 9pm on Friday and Saturday) finish on 31 October. November has one late night: Saturday 7 November, an Annual Pass Members Day with a special event from 4pm to 9pm, last entry 7pm. From 25 November the Theme Park is back to seven days a week. In December it closes at 8pm from Friday to Sunday, at 8pm daily from 21 to 24 December, and at 9pm from 25 to 31 December. On those December weekends and from 25 to 31 December the Water Park and SEA LIFE stay open to 7pm.

Our check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 12pm. In November an afternoon arrival leaves little park time: check-in opens at 3pm and the Theme Park's last entry is 5pm on every day it opens, so we tell guests to save the park for the next morning. Saturday 7 November and the December weekends are the exceptions, with the gates open to 9pm and 8pm. Legoland also sells evening tickets, from RM55 on its homepage, and on 30 and 31 October these run as Brick-or-Treat evenings.

Rides closed for maintenance this October

Legoland publishes its maintenance list ahead of time. For October 2026:

If your child has been talking about Boating School for weeks, pick a date after 9 October. DUPLO Express and Beetle Bounce matter most if you are bringing toddlers, as both are aimed at the youngest visitors.

A two-day plan that works with small children

Trying to do the Theme Park, Water Park and SEA LIFE in one day with under-8s rarely ends well. The Water Park closes at 6pm, the Theme Park needs a full day, and somebody will melt down. This is the split we suggest. Before you fix the order, look at which weekdays you have. Until mid-November, keep the Theme Park off a Wednesday and the Water Park off a Tuesday. A Tuesday and Wednesday stay still works in that order: Theme Park on Tuesday from 10am to 5pm, then the Water Park and SEA LIFE on Wednesday.

Day 1: Theme Park

Be at the gate for opening. The first two hours are the quietest, so go straight to the rides your children care about most and leave MINILAND for later. MINILAND now includes a LEGO model of the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, which Johor football fans will want a photo with. One rule shapes the rest of the day: a day ticket allows only one entry, so once you walk out you cannot come back in on the same ticket. Around 1pm, when the heat peaks, stay inside the gates. Take a long lunch somewhere air-conditioned and slow the pace for an hour before the late afternoon rides. Annual Pass holders can enter as many times a day as they like, so with a pass you can drive back to the apartment for a nap and return for the evening.

Day 2: Water Park and SEA LIFE

Do the Water Park in the morning from 10am, when the sun is lower and queues are shorter. Pack swimwear, a towel and a change of clothes each. After lunch, dry off and walk into SEA LIFE, which is air-conditioned and an easy last stop. Remember last entry there is 5pm.

Costs and rules on the day

The ticket is the big number, but a few smaller ones catch families out at the gate. These come from Legoland's own help pages, checked on 3 October 2026.

ItemWhat Legoland says
ParkingRM10 per entry, at Zone 1 and Zone 2
Stroller rentalRM65 single, RM90 double, plus a refundable deposit
Re-entryDay tickets: one entry per day. Annual Passes: multiple entries per day
Outside food and drinksNot allowed in, except for infants or special medical needs

Parking is charged per entry, so a family that drives out for lunch and comes back pays RM10 twice, and on day tickets would not get back through the turnstiles anyway. If you are staying with us for two park days and driving both mornings, budget RM20 for parking.

The stroller price is the one we would avoid. RM65 for a single is close to a third of an adult Theme Park ticket at RM205, so bring your own from home or from the car. And because outside food stays outside, cook a proper breakfast at the apartment before you leave. Milk, snacks and food for babies are fine to carry in.

Practical tips from our guests

A third day: add the city side of JB

Two days cover Legoland. If you have a third, spend it in Johor Bahru city, where the tickets cost a fraction of a park day. Our Johor Bahru family itinerary has the full two-day and three-day plans. The short version for a Legoland family goes like this.

Put the numbers side by side for two adults and two children aged 5 to 11. One Theme Park day with parking starts from RM770. The zoo for the same family is RM30 on Malaysian prices or RM120 on visitor prices, and Dinosaur Alive is RM120. So the third day adds little to the budget and gives small children a slower day after two long ones in the sun. Just keep it off a Tuesday if the zoo is your pick.

Where to stay for Legoland

Legoland sits in Medini, Iskandar Puteri, at 7 Jalan LEGOLAND. Our Medini homestays are in the same township, at Iskandar Residences and Sunway Grid Residences. There are six units, two and three bedrooms, for up to 5 to 7 guests each. A whole apartment means one group stays together, and you get a kitchen for breakfast before the gates open.

Which Medini unit fits your group

These are the bed layouts from each listing page, so you can match one to your family before you message us.

Cosmo SuiteSunway Grid Residences3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom51 queen and 1 floor mattress; 1 queen; 1 single
Lofty Grid UnitSunway Grid Residences2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom52 queens and 1 single

Two things stand out. The three Iskandar Residences units have two bathrooms or more, and the three at Sunway Grid have one each, which matters when five people are getting ready for a 10am gate. And a group of seven has one choice, the Homely Residence. Sunway Grid suits a family that also wants Sunway Big Box close by for dinner after the park.

If your trip is more about shopping than Legoland, look at our units at KSL City Mall or Mid Valley Southkey instead, and drive to Medini for the Legoland day. Our Mid Valley Southkey guide has the mall's hours, parking and the play spaces for children floor by floor.

Questions families ask about Legoland Malaysia

How much is a Legoland Malaysia ticket in 2026?

On the official ticket page in October 2026, a 1-day Theme Park ticket starts from RM205 for adults and RM175 for children and seniors. The Water Park starts from RM149 adult and RM129 child, and SEA LIFE from RM89 adult and RM69 child. Prices change by date, so book online and compare a few days.

Is Legoland Malaysia free for toddlers?

Yes. Children under 3 years old enter free on every day ticket, including the Theme Park, Water Park, SEA LIFE and the combo tickets.

What time does Legoland Malaysia open?

In November 2026 the Theme Park opens 10am to 6pm, with last entry at 5pm, on every day it opens. It is closed on Wednesday 4, 11 and 18 November, and stays open to 9pm on Saturday 7 November. The Water Park and SEA LIFE run 10am to 6pm; the Water Park is closed on Tuesdays until 1 December.

Is Legoland Malaysia open every day?

No. On the official calendar read on 23 October 2026, the Theme Park is closed every Wednesday from 7 October to 18 November, and the Water Park is closed every Tuesday from 13 October to 1 December. SEA LIFE is open daily. From 25 November the Theme Park is listed open seven days a week.

Is one day enough for Legoland Malaysia?

For the Theme Park alone, one full day is enough for most families with children under 10. If you also want the Water Park and SEA LIFE, split them over two days. Doing all three in one day with small children is rushed.

Which rides are closed for maintenance in October 2026?

Legoland lists Boating School closed from 28 September to 9 October, Beetle Bounce from 10 to 16 October, DUPLO Express from 19 to 23 October and LEGOLAND Express from 24 October to 1 November. Forestmen's Hideout is closed until further notice. The parks themselves stay open.

Where should we stay for a Legoland Malaysia trip?

Stay in Medini, the township Legoland sits in. CCSHomestay has two- and three-bedroom units at Iskandar Residences and Sunway Grid Residences in Medini for up to 5 to 7 guests per unit, so the morning drive is short and tired children are back in the apartment soon after the park closes.

Can you leave Legoland Malaysia and come back in on the same day?

Not on a day ticket. Legoland states that day tickets allow only one entry per day, while Annual Passes allow multiple entries per day. Parking at Zone 1 and Zone 2 is RM10 per entry, so leaving and returning by car also means paying for parking twice.

What is the best Legoland Malaysia ticket for a family?

If your children are under 8 and you have two days, the Triple-Park ticket (from RM345 adult, RM285 child) is the better buy than separate tickets. With one day only, buy the Theme Park ticket and skip the rest.

What else can families do in Johor Bahru besides Legoland?

On the city side of JB, Johor Zoo opens 9am to 6pm from Wednesday to Monday and is closed on Tuesdays, with daytime tickets at RM10 for a Malaysian adult, RM5 for a child and RM30 for a non-Malaysian. Dinosaur Alive, the water park at KSL Hotel & Resort, opens 9am to 7pm daily at RM30 a person from age 3. Mid Valley Southkey has bowling and a cinema. Our Johor Bahru family itinerary puts these into two-day and three-day plans.

Ticket prices and maintenance dates are taken from the official Legoland Malaysia Resort website on 2 October 2026, and the maintenance list read the same on 7 October; opening days and hours are from its calendar on 7 October 2026 for dates up to 31 December; parking, stroller, re-entry and food rules from its help pages on 3 October 2026. Bed layouts are from our own listing pages on 7 October 2026. Johor Zoo and Dinosaur Alive hours and prices are the ones sourced and dated on our Johor Bahru family itinerary, added here on 8 October 2026. They are starting prices and change by date; always confirm on the official site before you travel. CCSHomestay Malaysia is not affiliated with Legoland.
